48MP Natural Processing

Aim to deliver higher-resolution “natural” photos while keeping the true-to-life look users love. Context Users love Natural Processing but are revolting against the 12MP limitation. To get users the most “natural and untouched” photo we build our Natural Image from the Pixel Binned Raw Pipeline. So we can’t directly just allow Natural Processing to do 48MP. But we have considered: A ProRaw Natural (lite) alternative or to get more mystical and see what we can do with image stacking and such

Film Simulations

Allow users to bake-in film emulation techniques while shooting. Consideration I’m still on the fence on bringing this into a Pro Camera I’m all for helping in speeding up workflows and building new creative tools But does it belong in a Pro Camera? What if we just made a really good app for grading in post?

Night Mode Alternative

Our more casual users feel there is a gap in our offering by not having Night Mode. Though I’m not sure it makes sense to just copy Apple’s night mode verbatim - we can consider ways to help users take better night shots. But honestly - if you want night mode - maybe just use the native app.

Fashion Portrait

Subject-focused photos with beautifully blurred backgrounds. Context Users familiar with the Native App’s Portrait Mode feel more at home. User’s have access to a Portrait Mode that feels Pro and doesn’t suck. How We would need to add a new Capture Mode OR modification to the Lens Bar. Communicate to the user what Pro configurations won’t work in Portrait mode Add a new DOF control Savable to Profile Team Note: This is currently not a priority for us, but we are curious to see what the interest is here. Thanks!

Place metadata (Title, Creator/Import source, Color Space, Favorite state) in consistent corner positions. Explore options for slightly increasing Look label character count while keeping cards readable in both portrait and landscape.

The Store! Looks and Action Plates

Looks Users have access to a quality store of LUTS provided from top-of-the-line colorists that will apply to photo or video and can purchase. These “Looks” can be purchased in single or in some cases bundles. Unlike a LUT file - Looks live only within MPC II and can not be exported. Action Plates Users have access to a vibrant store of action plates that will grow over time. Action Plates will vary in style, layout, and possibly in some cases functionality as well. How? — These two products will be unified under one “Store” accessed via the “Settings” tab. — Looks can be previewed in camera. — More on pricing later.
