Improve Skin Tones in Natural Processing
Human subjects in Natural Photos look less green. How We’ll update the Natural Recipe with super slight refinement.
Fashion Portrait
Subject-focused photos with beautifully blurred backgrounds. Context Users familiar with the Native App’s Portrait Mode feel more at home. User’s have access to a Portrait Mode that feels Pro and doesn’t suck. How We would need to add a new Capture Mode OR modification to the Lens Bar. Communicate to the user what Pro configurations won’t work in Portrait mode Add a new DOF control Savable to Profile Team Note: This is currently not a priority for us, but we are curious to see what the interest is here. Thanks!
Time-Lapse Mode
A Capture Mode enabling Timelapse Photography How — New Capture Mode is added to the Mode Selector — Can be saved to a Profile — Effects: Motion Blur, Light Trails — Frames: Infinity - 30 → 3000 — Interval: 0.4s → 61s
Cinematic Video
iPhone’s cinematic mode or AI based depth-mapping for additional DOF. It will be game changer.
Remote Control Support
Depending on the shoot and your set-up you may not have direct access to your camera. OR maybe your a DP and want to review/control the camera from a tent near by. We want to offer this through an iPad/companion app/feature. Still lots to figure out - but we know there is a need and want to deliver.
Custom Filename Convention
Users would have the option of selecting from multiple different filename conventions, which would be accessible under Hardware > Storage > Location > Filename Convention. At least three options would be available: iOS (IMG_####) Moment (MMNT_####_####) Custom Format The ‘Custom Format’ option should support basic text, as well as global variables such as date, time, and a counter. For example, someone with a 17 Pro might format their files: “17Pro_*date_*num”, resulting in “17Pro_20260101_0001”.
Gesture Controls
There are a multiple ideas around gesture controls and improvements that can be made. How people want to interact with the app can vary - this ticket allows us to collect what Gesture Controls people would like to see brought into the app. Existing Ideas: Swipe on Viewfinder to change LUT Gesture safe area for focus on viewfinder Gesture safe area for zoom on viewfinder Gesture safe area for exposure on viewfinder Tap anywhere to release shutter button NO Gesture setting
Option to set minimum shutter speed in auto or shutter priority modes
I take many photos of my kids, and they are always moving. So I usually shoot in Shutter Priority at 1/250. Indoors it works fine because the ISO adjusts automatically, but in bright or outdoor light the images get overexposed. Then I have to quickly change the shutter speed or switch to Auto mode, and sometimes I miss the moment. I would like a mode or option that lets me set a minimum shutter speed with Auto ISO for quick shots. Similar to the “Auto ISO with minimum shutter speed” feature available in Aperture Priority mode on mirrorless cameras.
“Retain Information” Option for photos
When enabled, users can adjust exposure, colour temperatures, and change LUTs after shooting a photo. I know photo editing software and raw images exists for this reason but some users (myself included), would much rather have access to more simple editing options that are in-app.
DJI Ronin Support
The feature would allow MPC II to integrate with the DJI Ronin line, and allows Ronin models to control various camera functions, such as shutter speed / ISO from the control dial and function button.

Night Mode Alternative
Our more casual users feel there is a gap in our offering by not having Night Mode. Though I’m not sure it makes sense to just copy Apple’s night mode verbatim - we can consider ways to help users take better night shots. But honestly - if you want night mode - maybe just use the native app.
Exposure Bracketing
Capture a wider dynamic range with multiple exposures - perfect for HDR blends or when lighting is unpredictable. How it works Choose Exposure Bracket from the Format Menu Select how many frames + EV spacing App shoots the sequence automatically Preferred bracket setup will automatically be saved to your Profiles
ProRes Raw
This one’s for the film-makers! Once we have External Storage live in MPC II we can enable the ProRes Raw Codec. How it works Will be accessible for iPhone 17 Pro devices Available in the Codec Menu while in Video Mode
Burst Mode
Shoot fast action with confidence. Burst Mode captures multiple frames instantly so you never miss the exact moment you want. How it Works Toggle on “Allow Burst” in Settings Hold the shutter to capture a rapid sequence of frames Frames save automatically as a stack for easy review
Storage + Battery Monitor
We have Video and Audio as monitors - but we are lacking a couple other helpful monitors. 1. Storage - how much storage is left on the recording device - how much time? 2. Battery - how much battery is left on the device.
iPhone 17 Selfie Cam Features
We should support more selfie features that come with the iPhone 17. Main stage - on/off Wide or Tele Portrait or Landscape
The Store! Looks and Action Plates
Looks Users have access to a quality store of LUTS provided from top-of-the-line colorists that will apply to photo or video and can purchase. These “Looks” can be purchased in single or in some cases bundles. Unlike a LUT file - Looks live only within MPC II and can not be exported. Action Plates Users have access to a vibrant store of action plates that will grow over time. Action Plates will vary in style, layout, and possibly in some cases functionality as well. How? — These two products will be unified under one “Store” accessed via the “Settings” tab. — Looks can be previewed in camera. — More on pricing later.
Export w/ Metadata Signature
There has been a good amount of chatter to include the ability to add a signature of your exif data on your images. The best way to accomplish this will be to add to the Export options in the Gallery.
Focus Stacking or Bracketing
If it is possible with a iPhone focus stacking or bracketing would be a great feature especially for close up work. More so if you use a close up lens and want more DoF
Lock exposure on record
It would be great to have the option to lock exposure on record, just like there is the option to “Lock AWD On Record”

Look UX Improvements
A clearer, punchy, more intuitive way to browse and understand Looks How Treat the viewfinder itself as the Look card, showing key Look info as unobtrusive overlays. Place metadata (Title, Creator/Import source, Color Space, Favorite state) in consistent corner positions. Explore options for slightly increasing Look label character count while keeping cards readable in both portrait and landscape.
App Education/ Tutorial
Our Manual does a decent job of getting in depth on MPC II and some tips. BUT it would be great to bring as much of that education into the app. How — MVP: Via settings allow users to enable a “Guide Mode” While in guide mode tool tips are available as you open and interact with controls — Achievements Include achievements in the app as a form of education. “Butter! - Set your shutter below 1/25 to get cinematic blur” “Spielberg! - Shoot a video with Open Gate + Log” Etc
Tap to AE-L
Store shots (iOS) in specific Photos app Album in Media Storage Location
It would be great to choose or create a default Album for storing photos rather than the main “Photo Library” (option is set under Hardware > Media Storage Location). This keeps the “Photographs” separated from all other shots taken with the standard camera app.
Search function for LUTs
it’s quite manual and time consuming to find a specific LUT when you have many LUTs saved. A search function would be amazing!
Program-like behavior in manual mode
Add option to preserve EV while adjusting manual settings. For example, adjusting ISO would automatically update shutter speed in the opposite direction.
Reticles Improvements
Misc Improvements needed: Don’t animate the reticle moving - set new location on tap instantly - but with some animations on the ring as focus/exposure is being set Improve dependability
Option to only show zebras while adjusting EV
Hoping to have the option to see clipping zebras while, and only while, manually adjusting the EV slider, as that is the exact moment when I need them the most. Context: usually when I spot something, I take out my phone → open the camera → point and frame the scene → adjust EV on the spot → take the shot Being able to see zebras on the spot could drastically enhance my shooting confidence and streamline the EV adjusting process. Reference: Not boring camera did that very well!

Film Simulations
Allow users to bake-in film emulation techniques while shooting. Consideration I’m still on the fence on bringing this into a Pro Camera I’m all for helping in speeding up workflows and building new creative tools But does it belong in a Pro Camera? What if we just made a really good app for grading in post?
Quick Actions Reachability - Reveal on swipe up?
What if the Format Bar opened on Swipe Down. And Quick Actions opened on the Swipe Up. Something to consider.
Both framing (video + story) simultaneously
A feature where could be possible to turn on more than one framing in viewfinder like video and story so when on open gate format we can see a crop for both. Something similar like on the image.

48MP Natural Processing
Aim to deliver higher-resolution “natural” photos while keeping the true-to-life look users love. Context Users love Natural Processing but are revolting against the 12MP limitation. To get users the most “natural and untouched” photo we build our Natural Image from the Pixel Binned Raw Pipeline. So we can’t directly just allow Natural Processing to do 48MP. But we have considered: A ProRaw Natural (lite) alternative or to get more mystical and see what we can do with image stacking and such
Additional Focal Lengths (35mm+)
Allow user to toggle through additional focal lengths.
Fjorden Grip Support
The people are hungry for the Fjorden Grip Support. The fjorden Grip will be our first third-party gimbal integration in our Hardware panel.…More will follow in 2026.
Reverse Gallery Controls
Gallery Controls are all reversed - which is a bit of friction if your coming from the native camera app. We need to swap: - Swiping direction - Select Button and Close Button
Moment Lens Labels
In the app both the 240mm and 58mm lenses are shown simply as “T” so that you have to remember the order they are listed to quickly select the right lens. I’d like to see the lenses visually differentiated better.

How Select Slow Shutter from the Capture Mode Selector Effect: Motion Blur, Light Trails Duration: 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 15, 30, Bulb Settings will save into a Profile for quick recall.
Camera Control Integration
We’re bringing Camera Control to MPC II. - Exposure - Zoom (if available) - Focus - WB - Looks (if apple will allow us)
Apple Watch Integration
Apple Watch Support is on the horizon. Start/end footage capture Set timer Lens select Zoom (if available)
Launch Widget
Widgets widgets widgets! The people want widgets! The first widget we’ll bring is the ability to launch MPC II to a specific Mode or Profile.
Better Stabilization
Users have more confidence shooting video in MPC II because our camera stabilization is AS GOOD or better than the native camera. How There is a potential we’ll offer Stabilization settings - setting how aggressive the stabilization should be. Access and control will remain in Quick Actions
Profiles
Profiles introduce a whole new workflow for users. When opening the capture mode modal you will be presented with 4 Quick Slots where you can recall previously configured camera settings. You can store as many profiles as you’d like. But only 4 can be slotted to the Mode Modal. Profiles will store: - Capture Mode - Format And then you can opt-in/out of storing the following: - Color - Looks - Exposure Priority and Values - External Storage - Optics
External Storage
We’re bringing External Storage to MPC II! How You will be able to access External Storage settings via the Hardware panel trigger at the top right of the Viewfinder. Or save to a location in the files app.
Metadata - Process + Look
We should be storing the following to our Metadata: Look used / intensity Process Mode Yes - we will only be able to see this data via the MPC II gallery - but worth it to bring clarity to users.
Red Border while capturing
The love for BMD’s Camera Recording feature where the Viewfinder is outlined with a red border has been requested a few times. Would increase recording confidence. Include as toggle in an accessibility menu.
ProRaw jpg xl lossy
Give users more control on ProRaw compression levels. How Via the Processing Menu select your compression level Options: Bit-Depth: 8, 12 Compression Quality: .5 - 1
