I really like Moment’s simplified bitrate approach with Automatic / Medium / Maximum — it’s smart and avoids making users think about bitrate settings for every resolution/FPS combination.
But for casual/daily recording, I sometimes feel even Medium is more bitrate than I actually need. For example, 1080p30 seems to average around 30 Mbps, which is quite a lot for simple HEVC daily footage.
Would it be possible to add one more preset below Medium, maybe Low or Light, targeting roughly 50% of the Medium bitrate? So if Medium is ~30 Mbps, Low would be ~15 Mbps.
I think ~15 Mbps HEVC is already more than enough for casual daily recording, while also helping save storage. No need for a custom/manual bitrate option — just one additional lower preset would be awesome! 🙏
